EARLY EDUCATION CENTER

3 Year Old, 4 Year Old, and PRE-K

Philosophy

The center is a non-profit Christian center for young children and their families. It is a place where children are encouraged to develop their own unique, individual skills and talents. The center provides a healthy, loving child-centered environment to aid young children in their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth. Programs to support and encourage parents of young children are also provided as an integral part of the program.

Staff

The faculty, have been carefully selected for the experiences and their evident love for children. All teachers have an Early Childhood Education degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and each assistant teacher has had prior experience, and has earned, either, an Early Childhood Education degree or certification from the Department of Human Services.

Mrs. Liz

Mrs. Liz Campbell is going into her 23rd year as the Administrator/Lead Teacher of St. Paul Preschool. She is married to Jeff and has 2 sons, Adam & Ben. She and her family have been members of St. Paul Lutheran Church for 37 years. Prior to taking over as Administrator, she taught at Riveredge Elementary and for Berea Community Outreach. Her philosophy is treat each child as an individual and let their inner self shine.

Mrs. Lisa Peck is starting her first year as Classroom Assistant at St. Paul Preschool. She is married to Fred and has two children and one granddaughter. She has been with the church for the past two years. She's excited to start in her new position working with your little ones.

Program

An average day at the center includes, but is not limited to: art, music, dramatic play, language development, listening skills, large and small motor activities, creative play and Bible stories. There is also opportunity for occasional field trips and special visitors. The school year begins in September, ends in May, and follows the vacation schedule of the Berea Public Schools. 

Schedule / Tuition

Supply/Registration fee: $75 per family plus $25 for each additional child.

3's        M-T              9:00 - 11:30 am     $165 monthly

4's        W-Th-F         9:15 - 11:45 am    $185 monthly

Pre-K   T-W-Th-F    12:30 - 3:00 pm      $205 monthly

Prices are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Board of Directors. If a second child attends, his/her tuition is reduced $10 each month.

There are a limited number of scholarships available to assist with tuition. Decisions, based on need, are made by the Scholarship Committee. All information is kept confidential.

During the school year a series of programs will be offered to assist and support parents of young children. Parents are welcome to visit the school.

A conference will be held in March to discuss your child's progress. Information will be sent home regularly regarding the activities at the center.

A non-refundable fee of $75 per family plus $10 for each additional child registered is due with the application.

  • Children must be 3 by October 1 for the 3-year-old class and 4 by October 1 for the 4-year-old or Pre-K class — or have the approval of the director.​

  • All children must be toilet trained.
