EARLY EDUCATION CENTER

EARLY EDUCATION CENTER

3 Year Old, 4 Year Old, and PRE-K

Philosophy

The center provides a healthy, loving child-centered environment to aid young children in their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth and serves as a place where children are encouraged to develop their own unique ideas, skills and talents. Programs to support and encourage parents of young children are also provided as an integral part of the program.

Staff

The Early Education Center is governed by a Board of Directors. This Board is comprised of nine members, who, like the faculty, have been carefully selected for the experiences and their evident love for children. At the Center, each teacher has achieved, either, an Early Childhood Education degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and each assistant teacher has had prior experience, and has earned, either, an Early Childhood Education degree or certification from the Department of Human Services.

Program

An average day at the center includes, but is not limited to: art, music, dramatic play, language development, listening skills, large and small motor activities, creative play and Bible stories. There is also opportunity for occasional field trips and special visitors. The school year begins in September, ends in May, and follows the vacation schedule of the Berea Public Schools.
